The security bond of the selected package will only be taken out of your credit card in the event of a damage to the vehicle, its chattels or damage to any third-party property.

In the case of a valid damage claim, the security bond amount is the maximum dollar amount (cost) which you are responsible to pay per incident. The applicable security bond amount depends upon the package selected at the point of booking the vehicle. The amount(s) will be charged to the payment method used to book the vehicle. A credit card processing fee of 3% and an administration fee for managing the damage claim will apply.

The security bond amount is payable regardless of fault. If it is then deemed that you are not at fault in the event of damage, this amount will be refunded to you.

Please note that irrespective of the selected package, the traveller's liability is not limited in those cases which are excluded in the terms and conditions or if the terms and conditions have been breached by the traveller and this causes or contributes to any damage.


If you wish to pay the security bond with a different card than the one used for your booking, please contact customer service.


When you decide to book a vehicle, your security bond is deducted from your Credit Card 7 days before pick up date. This amount depends on the package option chosen. You can find more information to this on our Homepage

After your booking is completed, and no damages or claims are open, the bond will be refunded to your account automatically. The funds will be released 7 days after the last day of your booking.

Please ensure the necessary bond amount is available on your credit card 7 days before pick up. The Rental Vehicle will not be released if the Security Deposit is not paid. 


There will be no authorized transaction on your card when booking a vehicle in Germany.
